Apply cuticle oil 1-2 times a day to hydrate the skin around your nails. This is very important to do as the acetone we use to help the gel polish stick to the nail is very drying. Cuticle oil helps put those vitamins and much needed hydration back into the skin.
Use hand cream daily and treat yourself to a hand/foot sheet mask 1-2 times a month.
Wear gloves when washing up, cleaning, gardening, decorating or any other similar tasks. Harsh chemicals, water and being heavy handed can help lift and chip your nails so protect them with a good pair of gloves.
I'd recommend coming every 3 weeks for your nails to be redone. Every 4-6 weeks for your feet. Some people might need to come sooner, some people might get longer out of their nails. It varies from person to person.
Waxing
Avoid swimming, heat sources/treatments such as saunas/steam rooms etc, tight clothing and any products on the waxed area for 24-28 hours. Since the waxing treatment has been carried out, your pores are now open and doing any of these activities would cause irritation.
The hair should be at least a few millimetres long in order to be waxed and removed. If the hair isn't long enough, I might have to rearrange your appointment to a more suitable time to carry out the service.
As part of your pre treatment advice, exfoliate the area a few days prior to the service as this helps prep the hair for removal. Don't exfoliate the area on the day of your appointment.
I recommend body waxing to commence every 4-6 weeks and facial waxing to commence every 2-3 weeks depending on the speed of your hair growth.
LVL/Brow lamination and eye treatments
As part of your pre treatment advice, a patch test is required 24-48 hours before a LVL lash lift, brow lamination or tinting treatment. This is bookable online, takes only 15 minutes and is completely free.
Avoid water and heat sources/treatments such as saunas, steam rooms etc for 24-48 hours after the treatment. This will make the lashes/brow hair drop if done otherwise.
No rubbing or touching the eyes/brows.
Apply and lash/brow conditioning serum twice a day, everyday.
Results for LVL lash lifts and brow lamination should last 6-8 weeks. Perfect for occasions such as weddings, prom, holidays etc.
I'd recommend having a brow tint every 3-4 weeks and an eyelash tint every 4-6 weeks.
Facials
Breakouts could possibly occur after a facial which is completely normal as your skin is bringing everything to the surface and clearing it all out. This will subside. I wouldn't recommend getting a facial too close to an upcoming event, just incase of this.
I recommend x1 facial a month for maintenance. If you are starting your facial journey, I'd always recommend a course of 6-8 sessions where you come weekly to achieve faster and better results compared to coming monthly. After a facial course, I'd only then recommend coming monthly for a maintenance facial.
No touching, picking or squeezing of the face after a facial.
Stay away from heat sources/treatments such as saunas/steam rooms for 24-48 hours as this can irritate the skin.
No make-up unless mineral makeup is being used to let the skin heal and allow it to recover.
No harsh skincare/perfumed products.
Massage
Drink plenty of water after your massage to help flush out all the toxins and waste. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as this can dehydrate you, contradicting the benefits of a massage and can cause headaches and nausea. In addition, avoid heavy/greasy foods that can make you feel nauseous after a massage.
Relax for the remainder of the day and let your body heal and recover. Your body is now in detox mode.
Avoid any strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for the rest of the day as this will contradict what we have done during the treatment to relax the muscles. It's best to go to the gym first and then have a massage afterwards.
Avoid any heat sources/treatments such as saunas, steam rooms etc for 24-48 hours as the oil left on the skin after the treatment could burn if in contact with heat.
I recommend a massage 1-2 times a month. However, treatments may need to be more frequent depending on the amount of tension and knots an individual has.
